Happy FRIYAY!!!!
The Friday before Spring Break just deserves a YAY at the end of it!
The Friday before Spring Break just deserves a YAY at the end of it!
Let's wrap up this week celebrating some things that made me smile!
1. Cooper is doing great. Prozac is all that and a bag a chips! The only snapping or growling situation we have had this week happened last night just before bedtime. Cooper was angry growling at his own personal parts. No idea what was going on there - but something was really pissing him off. It did not last long. This week he played with his girl Tibi and I actually got a picture of them both laying down. Aren't they darling? Things definitely seem to be heading in the right direction for Cooper and we are thrilled!
2. My sweet Love Box Group got to put together our first Love Box donation for our foster family this week! We all chipped in and made a Spring Fling family box to help entertain the kids over spring break. Look at all the loot! It was so fun putting it together and I can't wait to drop it off this afternoon!
3. Reading with my precious second graders on Thursday morning is a highlight of my week. I just want to eat them up! They are both doing great and have improved in their reading so much. We have started reading more challenging books and we take turns reading. I read a page and then they read a page. I like that format and I think they do too!
4. Me and Chip joined our friend Connie to go see a play last night at The City Theatre! The play stars my good friend, Robyn - who also happened to be Chip's middle school theatre teacher. The play was called Noises Off and it was HILARIOUS! Laugh out loud, slapstick, physical comedy, complete with people falling down, running around in their underwear, doors and doors and doors and tons of sardines! I laughed a ton! My face hurt from smiling! So much fun!
A few other things that made me happy this week:
- I made shrimp stir fry with brown rice and vegetables for dinner last night and Chip went back for seconds!
- Harry made it back to Phoenix after spending his Spring Break in Portland. It was a 20+ hour drive each way! He had a ball and said the time in the car was totally worth it!
- I death cleaned my office closet and there was purging galore! A ton of Nerf Guns were passed on to my friend to share with her grandkids. Happy that some other little kids will get some joy out of them! Chip found his 5th grade recorder and played it for 20 minutes until I took it away from him!
- I got to walk with Martha two times this week! Crisp mornings are delightful!
- Several of my friends have reached out with phone calls and texts to assure me that they also enjoy getting into their pajamas at a ridiculously early hour! Made me feel so much better!
- I will have my toes in the sand in just a few days....can't wait!
