Me and my little (not really) Chip celebrated Valentine's Day a day early, since he normally goes to dinner with his Dad on Wednesday nights. A special dinner complete with candles and decorations is a longstanding tradition that we did not want to miss, so Valentine's Eve it is!
I had the table all set when he got home from school.
On the menu...Sesame Chicken with Rice Noodles.
It's a Chip favorite.
It requires several steps and lots of dishes, but he is worth it!
For dessert, I made the most delicious chocolate cake recipe from my friend Sheri. It is called "Grandma Helen's Brownies", but it is really more like a sheet cake. Regardless of whether it is brownies or a cake, it is scrumptious.
Hearts are just festive!
I put a little Valentine treat on Chip's plate.
He thought it was candy, but it was really some cold, hard cash.
Nothing says I Love You like money.
Treat yo' self!
It was a sweet night!
💘 I hope you have a beautiful day today! 💘
You are absolutely the best mom ever! Encouraging, fun, protective, insightful, and beautiful! I can see where he got that incredible smile. Happy Valentine's day my friend!
